Heather Hardcastle understood where gourmet gluten free was headed before everyone else. In the early 2000’s, diagnosed with gluten intolerance and passionate about food and cooking, Heather left her well established career and enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America, determined to learn the nuances of great pastry and solid classical technique. Her dream was always to turn her passion and knowledge into a thriving business, creating delicious, high quality, gluten-free baked goods. In 2013, she opened the first Flour Craft Bakery. Today, guests line up daily for her signature cinnamon rolls, breads, cookies, specialty cakes, and more sold at their cafes.The Flour Craft Bakery & Café Cookbook is Heather’s first book. She lives in Marin County, CA with her husband, Rick & their two corgis, Flora & Walnut.
Basque-born, Aran Goyoaga is an award-winning author, photographer, and professionally trained pastry chef. She is a three-time James Beard-finalist. Aran’s second cookbook Cannelle et Vanille: Nourishing, Gluten-Free Recipes for Every Meal and Mood (Sasquatch) has been named best of 2019 by New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Food 52, NBC News, ELLE, and more.
