Want to master a versatile flaky pastry crust that will bring beauty and flavor to your dinner table? Look no further! In this class, students will learn how to create both sweet and savory galettes, using a variety of flours, all from scratch. We will practice making an all butter pie crust, and then fill it with seasonal delicacies, which we will then devour! The class will incorporate lots of hands-on work so please bring an apron, if you have one at home. Students will leave with their very own disk of flaky dough, created in class, along with recipes and step-by-step instructions to use at home.
Menu includes: whole wheat galette with sweet corn, summer squash, and homemade ricotta; heirloom tomato sSalad with herbs, blue cheese, and pickled walnuts; stone fruit crostata with homemade almond frangipane.
