Born in the Pacific Northwest to a Swedish mother, author Anna Brones has always bridged two worlds. Fortunately, in the kitchen, the local flavors of Scandinavia and the Pacific Northwest meld together easily. In this dinner class we'll explore some of these flavors and take inspiration from both regions for a meal that's all about slowing down, savoring the moment, and making space for simple, everyday celebrations.
Menu includes: open-faced sandwiches with pickled herring; crisp bread with cheese and butter; shredded beet and carrot salad with caraway vinaigrette; savory mushroom tarte; salmon soup with saffron; pear and cardamom hazelnut cake.
