Elevate your cake making skills one, two – THREE layers high! Come join Tessa Huff, author of Icing on the Cake and Layered, for a morning of cake and buttercream fun. Learn the fundamentals of cake design, how to make a bakery-style cake at home, and the secrets to her favorite Swiss Meringue Buttercream. Students will have the opportunity to explore their creative sides, discover the decorating techniques of Tessa’s signature designs, and take home their own one-of-a-kind cakes. Menu includes: vanilla butter cake; Swiss meringue buttercream; and buttercream variations (for filling).
You will learn how to design a show-stopping cake, fill-stack-frost a cake, create a watercolor buttercream finish, and pipe rosette decoration.
